Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is a comedy film written and Directed by Kevin Smith. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Melissa Benoist, Val Kilmer, Jason Lee, Method Man, Redman , Craig Robinson, Justin Long, Tommy Chong and more.

Jay and Silent Bob return to Hollywood to stop a reboot of the 'Bluntman and Chronic' movie from getting made, along the way they run into a lot of the characters from past Kevin Smith films, even supplying some back story to what happened to Loki in Dogma. It started out a little wanky to me and almost every word of dialogue sounded like it was coming out of Kevins mouth himself - but - after about 15 minutes or so you start to settle in and kind of realize what he's doing and it begins to be a lot of fun. ( for me at least ) I like comedies and i dont think there are enough of them right now. The cast is super stacked with fun faces - even starring Thor (Chris Hemsworth) himself cracking jokes about Kevin. The whole story turns into something beautiful about a father meeting his daughter but never really lets up on the laughs. It was cool seeing how much they've kind of matured over the years whether they wanted it to appear that way or not.. I also loved Harley Quinn Smith in this, seeing Kevin Smith act in a whole movie with his daughter was very cool. Kevin's not afraid to crack jokes about himself and i like that. He also did a great job seeding a lot of his own products and podcast stuff throughout the film. He seems to still have fun making movies and that's awesome. The last couple acts are great ( 2 Kevin Smiths ). If you are in the mood for a fun campy/stoner film this is your jam ! Be sure to stay for the credits if you love Stan Lee like i do.
